Staff, faculty and students gathered at the Map Library this week to celebrate GIS Day.

The annual event celebrates geographic information systems (GIS) technology. Map Library festivities on Nov. 17 included displayed maps created by the Brock community, a hands-on demonstration of GIS and miniature presentations of GIS mapping projects. There were also door prizes and a pizza lunch.

GIS Day is held in conjunction with Geography Awareness Week.
