Lunch and Learn

The Youth University Lunch and Learn Series offers interactive and engaging sessions on a variety of topics relating to teaching and developing youth.

The workshops are open to anyone interested in attending and participants will each receive a workshop certificate to add to their portfolio. We look forward to seeing you there!

Workshop #1 - What You Missed at AEE!

Our first workshop will provide highlights from the 2009 International Conference for the Association of Experiential Education. Facilitators Carrie Baker and Devin Kellaway will share new initiatives and activities that are great for both camp and the classroom! They will also share some wonderful new ideas and discussions regarding inclusion.

Workshop #2 – So You Want to Work with Kids? Prove It!

Interested in working with Youth this summer and beyond? Come to this workshop to learn about what organizations serving youth are looking for from interviewees. Sonya Forsey will highlight key points and provide valuable hints to help you land that next great job!

“With increasing talk about the importance of learning outside the classroom as an important complement to formal education, we act as a "living laboratory" by helping Brock students experiment with and integrate the knowledge and skills they have obtained in class” Kate Cassidy, Youth University Director
