Ready to spend your day making a difference? Try the off-campus volunteer opportunity to feel the synergy of giving back. Brock volunteers will be working at the Niagara Furniture Bank http://niagarafurniturebank.com/ for the day. The Niagara Furniture Bank collects gently used home furnishings in order to provide individuals and families in Niagara Region with the beds, tables, chairs and other furnishings that turn “shelter” into “homes”. Volunteers will be sorting and folding linen sets, organizing kitchenware and working on other household items that will be distributed to homes within Niagara.

Visit historic Queenston Heights and follow in the last steps of Sir Isaac Brock, who charged up the hill over 200 years ago to push back the American invaders.  We will tour the village -- including Laura Secord's Homestead -- explore the many monuments on the Heights and in the village, and you will finally have an answer to that age-old burning question: why we are "Brock" University and not "Sheaffe" University. Comfortable clothes, sturdy shoes, a hat & a water bottle recommended. Boxed lunches will be provided.
