Canadian University Survey Consortium (CUSC)
The mission of the Canadian University Survey Consortium (CUSC) is to assess the Canadian university experience by surveying representative student populations enrolled in participating universities. The Consortium is a membership not-for-profit corporation. It supports the annual collection, management, analysis and dissemination of survey data. Results provide measures of student characteristics, activities, and perceptions of the quality of their educational experience at their universities as well as a broad base of comparative information for the benefit of participating institutions.
Since CUSC's inception in 1994, universities across Canada have jointly implemented surveys of their undergraduate students. The surveys are on a three-year cycle and are administered in the winter term (January to April), alternating between:
a) first-year students (2007, 2010 and 2013);
b) all years of undergraduate students (2005, 2008 and 2011); and
c) graduating students (2006, 2009 and 2012).
Brock University has participated in the Year I survey (in 2007 and 2013), the all-years survey (in 2005) and in the graduating students survey (in 2009 and 2012). Summary reports may be found at:
Year I (to be published in the fall, 2013)
