This concentration focuses on management skills and theory and is designed to qualify graduates for a wide range of positions in both the public and private sectors.

The Tourism Planning and Development Concentration is designed for students pursuing careers such as:

• economic development officers
• planning consultants in local to multinational organizations and municipal, provincial or national government agencies

This concentration combines elements of recreation and leisure studies, environmental studies and geography to examine aspects of sustainable tourism planning and development in depth.
