Brock Environmental Student Association (BESA)

Brock Environmental Awareness Society

The Brock Environmental Awareness Society was founded by Tourism and Environment students Darryl Veld, Kevin Nigro and Coralie Ullyett in January of 2011. The goal of the Brock Environmental Awareness society also known as BEAS is to educate and entertain Brock University students on local and global current environmental issues. Awareness is a key element in environmental issues as decisions and changes cannot be made without environmental education and awareness. BEAS currently aims to network and share environmental news and events through the Facebook page where all members have a chance to post links, videos and news pertaining to the environment which aids in maintaining awareness and forms a place for environmental discussion.

Engaged Citizens Organized

Engaged Citizens Organized (ECO) is a club at Brock University dedicated to promoting environmental and social justice initiatives on campus and in the community. ECO has led many events and projects at Brock, such as hosting guest speakers, community cleanups, fundraisers, petitions, and an annual EnviroWeek.

ECO was born from an ecopsychology class led by Laurie Hollis-Walker that taught Work That Reconnects and many other tools for understanding and appreciating the Earth. This class and club have also produced the ECO Camp, which helps activists connect and fight burnout.

ECO is currently led by Daniel Angrignon, Vivian Leung, Ambika Sangaran, and Karolina Walczyk

Brock Fair Trade

Do you want to end the exploitation of workers in the Third World?
Do you want to ensure workers are always paid reasonable wages?
Do you want to give workers more control over their working conditions?

Brock Fair Trade is a club that hopes to solve these problems by promoting and encouraging people to support Fair Trade. Let's make a difference in the world!

Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE)

SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) BROCK is based out of St-Catharines Ontario and we are one of over 50 SIFE Teams across Canada. SIFE BROCK is also a part of the global SIFE network, which is comprised of more than 40 countries. SIFE teams aim to develop and implement projects that create economic opportunity to the citizens of their country. With over 1,500 teams in operation, it makes sense to become a part of the change SIFE is creating worldwide. SIFE Brock is an organization open to Brock University students across all faculties.
