Alfons Weersink is a professor in the Dept of Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics (FARE) at the University of Guelph. He has been at Guelph since obtaining his PhD at Cornell University. Weersink's research focuses on the effect of technology and government policy on the decisions made by farmers and the resulting effect on agri-food markets and its structure.
