Graduate Non-Degree MADS Qualifying Courses
What are the Qualifying Courses?
These online non-degree qualifying courses are designed for students who wish to apply for MADS (either ABA or no specialization), but do not quite meet the minimum admissions criteria.
What Academic Requirements do I need to apply?
The minimum admission requirement for the Graduate Non-Degree Qualifying Courses is a completed 3-year university Bachelors degree or equivalent. There is no minimum grade average. Students with a Community College diploma or certificate without a university degree are not eligible to take the qualifying courses.
How many courses will I take?
The CADS Graduate Admissions Committee will review all applications and determine which qualifying courses each student should take from available courses in order to meet graduate admissions equivalency.
How long will it take for me to complete these courses?
The duration of your studies will be dependent on the number of courses you need to complete in order to attain equivalency. This will be noted in your Qualifying Course offer email.
Can I be admitted to the MADS program after completing these courses?
The completion of the qualifying courses does not guarantee admission to MADS, but does allow students who do not meet the minimum criteria for MADS (e.g., 3-year degree) to submit an application to MADS that will be seriously considered. Students will need to apply to the MADS program after completion of their qualifying courses. Information on this process will be available during the summer.
When and where are the Qualifying Courses held?
All qualifying courses are provided online at various times during the year. These courses are scheduled to commence May 2013.
How much do courses cost?
Fees will be in line with those at the Undergraduate level of courses. Please see the Spring undergraduate fee schedule for details. Tuition is subject to change each year.
