Joseph Kushner is Professor of Economics at Brock University and was formerly with the Royal Military College of Canada.

He was the first recipient of the Brock University Social Sciences Faculty Award of Excellence for Teaching (2002) and is a co-recipient of the Douglas C. Mackay Outstanding Paper Award in Finance (2004). He is on the Editorial Board of Canadian Public Administration.
