Learning Skills
Learning Skills Services is a division of the Student Development Centre that provides free academic support for all Brock students to help them achieve their full potential in university and beyond. In addition, if you are a Mature student, Transfer student, Aboriginal student, or First Generation student, you have access to social and professional support programs specifically designed by Learning Skills Services to meet your needs and help you make the most of your university experience.

Learning Skills Services is dedicated to helping students:
- Ease the transition from high school, job, or home to university
- Ease university transitions from one year to the next
- Sharpen existing learning strategies
- Develop new study skills
- Build the confidence, interest, and motivation necessary to meet the increasing demands of university.
Academic services are provided in learning environments that accommodate a variety of learning styles. Small, informal workshops; scheduled drop-in sessions; and individual consultations by appointment are all led by experienced staff. Social and professional support for Mature, Transfer, Aboriginal, and First Generation students includes a wide spectrum of experiences and opportunities that connect students with each other, and provide professional support networks within the university.
