Living Learning Communities

Living Learning Communities

A Living Learning Community (LLC) is the integration of students who share similar interests (such as an academic subject or non-academic area of interest) into a residence community with intensive programming and support from various areas within the institution. Brock launched its Living Learning Communities in 2010. We have expanded the program each year and we will be offering nine LLCs for 2015-2016.

Academic Living Learning Communities

Interest-Based Living Learning Communities

Each community will have a dedicated Peer Mentor who will plan events and provide support to the participants based on the theme of the LLC to ensure a strong and exciting community is maintained all year.  However, it is truly the students who make these communities a success!

HERE to apply!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Living Learning Communities require a separate application from the on-line application to live in residence.  The deadline to apply for our Living Learning Communities is noon on Friday, June 5, 2015 in order to be considered for a spot in one of our LLCs. We make every effort to accommodate both lifestyle (e.g. LLC, alcohol-free) and building style preferences (e.g. traditional or townhouse) for students, however, if you have a strong preference for one or the other, please contact Amanda via the email below.  On the LLC application you will also notice that you can rank the LLCs in your preferred order if you would be interested in applying to more than one LLC (or not rank LLCs you are not interested in living in).

There is no additional cost to living in an LLC.
