  • zippered mattress protector
  • chest of drawers
  • desk
  • chair
  • waste basket
  • recycling bin
  • book shelves
  • closet space or wardrobe

Please note: students are NOT permitted to bring additional furniture to residence. The only exceptions are listed in Allowable Furniture. For more details, please see the Residence Community Guiding Principles for "Room Alterations".

Computer Security
Details are available on the Information Technology Services website

Telephones
The default voice-mail setting on your Brock telephone extension tells callers which extension they have reached. If you wish to keep this information private you will need to record your own message when you move into your room. Dailing guides with full instructions on how to do this will be available when you arrive at Brock.

Refrigerators
You will find full details of what you can bring in our Allowable Appliances document. Please note: residence reserves the right to inspect those appliances for safety reasons and ask for them to be removed based on their age and/or condition.

Insurance
Check with your home insurance policy to see if you are covered while you are at University. We believe that Brock is a safe place to live but accidents do happen and it is good practice to insure your property. It is also a good idea to invest in a power bar with surge protection for your computer.
