Instructions on How to Apply for Residence
How do I apply for residence?
Please follow these steps to apply for residence:
- It is essential that your browser is set to enable popups/cookies
- Go to my.brocku.ca
- Login using your Brock username and password
- Click the "Applicant and Student Self Serve" tab
- Click "Apply for Residence" at the bottom right of the page
- Click on the link to update your personal details.
- Once you have completed updating your personal details, you will be redirected back to the hub page where you can "start application".
The deadline for receipt of your application and application fee for September 2016 is June 1, 2016.
When we pass the deadline we will continue to accept applications and process them when we receive the $600 application fee but we will give priority in our assigning process to those who meet our deadline. We hope to be able to inform everyone of the outcome of their application no later than the end of June.
Students applying to Gateway Suites are assigned on a first come first served basis, deermined by our receipt of your application and $675 application fee.

I cannot login to the portal, I keep getting "invalid user".
To login to the portal students must use their campus ID which is the 6 digit letter and number combination (e.g. ab14cd)
When I go to the website I click on the red "Residence" hyper link but it takes me to the residence home page.
You are on the wrong link, at the top of the page click on the "Applicant and Student Self Serve" page and then you will see the icon for the residence application at the bottom right hand corner of the page.
When I go to the Applicant and Student Self Serve tab I cannot find the residence application.
Usually the residence "channel" is on the right hand side. It has a blue bar with "Residence" in white at the top and then the apply to residence icon below. If you cannot see it on the right hand side, scroll down or check on the left hand side of the page. It is also possible that the icon has been minimized so you will only see the blue bar with "Residence" and no picture. You can click on the white arrow in the blue bar to open up the channel and see the icon. If you still cannot see the channel, go to the top right hand side of the page to "Add More" on the menu bar, click on it and you will see any inactive channels that can be added to the page.
When I click on the picture for the residence application the page just refreshes/does nothing.
Pop ups have not been enabled on your browser, please go into your settings to enable pop ups as the Residence application is actually a pop up.
I didn't receive a confirmation email, did you receive my application?
If you didn't receive a confirmation email then chances are we didn't receive your application. Most of the time this can be fixed by going back into the application and ensuring that you hit the green "submit" button at the end of the application.
