Brock Research has appointed three Research Officers to assist faculty and staff with the research portfolios. The research officers who co-ordinate the support services for the preparation and submission of grants and contracts are the cornerstone of the new Brock Research structure. Their role as the first point of contact for faculty and staff with Brock Research is to monitor the life of an opportunity from the proposal preparation stage through vetting procedures and approvals until the end of contract compliance. Each Research Officer is assigned to support two faculties and a number of funding agencies as shown below:

The Research Officers are supported by specialists in ethics (Lori Walker), animal care (Dayle Belme), hazardous materials (Andy Prankevicius), research-related legal and contract advice (Maureen Murphy), technology transfer and industrial liaison (Hitesh Jain), communications (Carolyn Mullin) and financial accountability (Philip Thomas) in offering a high level of service to faculty and staff. Brock Research specialists will help researchers with their specific needs both within and external to Brock. We look forward to working with you in helping to achieve Brock’s goal of becoming a research-intensive university.
