5P29 - Advanced Topics in Animal Physiology
This is primarily a seminar course covering
recent and/or controversial research in respiratory,
thermoregulatory, and cardiovascular physiology and
their neural control. Topics may vary from year to year.
Emphasis is on whole animal metabolism and thermoregulation,
evolutionary physiology, and environmental physiology.
You are expected to learn how to read scientific papers,
interpret data, critically evaluate arguments from recent
physiological research, and write a research proposal
in the field of animal physiology.
