Community Voices column
Every year, The St. Catharines Standard seeks members of the community to serve as volunteer columnists for the newspaper. The Community Voices section serves the important purpose of providing local perspective on a wide variety of issues.
Columnists serve an equally important role as members of The Standard’s community editorial board. Of the 13 Community Voices for 2012-2013, four are from Brock University: chemist Ian Brindle; educationist Darlene Ciuffetelli Parker (who also sits on The Globe and Mail’s special advisory panel on education); political scientist Charles Conteh; and nurse Lynn McCleary.
