Proposal (Project/Thesis)
Under normal circumstances, students, pursuing studies on a part-time
basis, may not register for the Project/Thesis proposal course,
EDUC 5P90, until all course work has been completed.
This does not apply to full-time students. For students intending
to do a project, EDUC 5P93, a proposal form for Project Supervisor
Appointment must be submitted to the Faculty of Education before
the student is registered for the proposal course. For students
intending to do a thesis EDUC 5F95, a proposal form for Academic
Adviser and Committee Appointment must be submitted to the Faculty
of Education before the student is registered for the proposal course.
Students who receive a IP for the proposal course will automatically
be registered for subsequent terms until a mark is received. Once
a mark has been submitted for the proposal, students will automatically
and continuously be registered for the project or thesis each term until completed. The proposal form for a

Note: for continuous registration for the proposal course,
the session encompasses Spring and Summer and runs from May –
August.
Project (Half Credit Course)
Students may not enrol in the project course, EDUC 5P93, until
they have completed the proposal course, EDUC 5P90. This does not
apply to full time students. Students registering in EDUC 5P93 in
any term, must maintain continuous registration in subsequent sessions
until the project is complete. Failure to maintain continuous registration
will result in withdrawal from the program.
Note: for continuous registration for the project course,
the session encompasses Spring and Summer and runs from May
August.
Thesis (Full Credit Course)
Students may not enrol in the thesis course, EDUC 5F95, until they
have completed the proposal course, EDUC 5P90. Students registering
in EDUC 5F95 in any session, must maintain continuous registration
in subsequent sessions until the thesis is complete. Failure to
maintain continuous registration will result in withdrawal from
the program.
Automatic Registration in Project or Thesis
Students who receive a final mark for the proposal course and have
completed the course work, will automatically be registered for
either the project or thesis course in the following session and
will be continuously registered in subsequent sessions until course
requirements are completed.
