Independent Study - EDUC 5P98
Only one independent study course may count toward the Master of Education degree. Students may not enrol in EDUC 5P98 unless they receive permission of the Chair on the basis of a written application. Students must submit a written proposal which includes the purpose of the independent study and how the course will be evaluated. The evaluation component should consist of at least three distinct types of evaluation, for example, an annotated bibliography, a review of literature or a discussion paper. Registration is restricted to students who have received permission from the Chair of Graduate Studies Department, Faculty of Education.

Educational Internship - EDUC 5P96
This is a one-term field experience for MEd students not normally
available through either course work or the exit requirements. It
is not intended to replace the independent study course, EDUC 5P98,
nor should it be structured to resemble it. Students are supervised
by a graduate faculty member and must submit a proposal to the Chair
of the Graduate Department of the Faculty of Education. This proposal
should include the following: a rationale for the experience; goals
and specific means of achieving the goals; a grading scheme; written
agreement from the field contact. Registration is restricted to
students who have received permission from the Chair. Applications
for this course are available from the Graduate Studies website:
