Note: Some courses require a fee for materials distributed by the instructor.

Course Changes

Changes to your original course registrations may be made via the WEB registration systems (see details in this Guide), until registration closes. Students who wish to add or drop a course after these dates must complete the Course Selection Add/Drop Form available on the Graduate Studies website Changes in registration will not be considered unless this form is submitted to the Office of Graduate Studies by the required deadline date. The effective date of the add/drop will be the date the form is received in the Office of Graduate Studies.

Course Cancellations

The University reserves the right to cancel low enrolment courses. Decisions regarding course cancellations will be made on:

June 9 for the Summer Session; August 18 for the Fall Term; November 17 for the Winter Term

Students enrolled in cancelled courses will be notified of the cancellation by the MEd Program Office, Faculty of Education. Students will be dropped by completing and returning the Drop/Add form available at

Course Load

Note: the Spring evening Session is not a required Session.

The normal course load is:

Spring term one half credit
Summer term one half- credit course
Fall and Winter Session

full-time - to a maximum of four half- credit courses in each term

part-time - maximum of two half-credit courses in each term
