*Regular classes for the month of July; the two weeks in August
are for individual conferences and completion of final assignments.
Instructors will inform students if additional class time is required.
Do not Confuse....
the last date to withdraw or drop a course without academic penalty
with the last date to do so without financial penalty.
Time Limits
For a student registered initially as a full-time graduate student,
course and thesis/project requirements must be completed within
three years from the date of first registration. Extensions to the
student's normal completion date will only be granted in exceptional
circumstances.
For a student doing the entire program as a part-time student,
all requirements must be completed within five years from the date
of first registration. Extensions to the student's normal completion
date will only be granted in exceptional circumstances.
Extensions
Extension requests, detailing the exceptional circumstances,
must be submitted by your supervisor (or program chair if you do not have a supervisor) at lease one month prior to the expiry of your degree time limit. There
is no guarantee that such a request for an extension will be granted.

Minimum Residency Requirement
A minimum residency requirement for full-time study is one year.
The part-time study requirement is two years.
