Course Title	The Government and Politics of the United States
Description	American political system and the institutions of the federal government in the context of the constitutional separation of powers and the political party structure. Related topics include federalism, elections and voting behaviour, civil rights and selected public policy issues.
Course Format	Lectures, seminar, 3 hours per week.
Prerequisite(s)	one POLI credit numbered 1(alpha)90 to 1(alpha)99 or permission of the instructor.
