Course Title The French Revolution Contested
Description Debates about the French Revolution and its European impact (1788-1815) focusing on those about its origins, its role in the development of European political culture and its impact on the experience of women and the poor. Topics include the failure of the constitutional monarchy, the impact of war and the counter-revolution.
Course Format Lectures, seminar, 3 hours per week.
Restrictions open to HIST (single or combined), HIST (Honours)/BEd(Intermediate/Senior) majors and minors until date specified in Registration guide.
Exclusions Completion of this course will replace previous assigned grade and credit obtained in HIST 2P42.
