Course Title Social Movements and Globalization
Description Restructuring of social movements from around the world in new alliances for global justice. Topics may include relations between local and global scales, cross-cultural collaboration, tensions between unity and diversity, conflicts and unequal power relations in networks and North-South inequalities. May include indigenous movements, transnational feminism, the anti-corporate globalization movement and environmentalism.
Course Format Seminar, 3 hours per week.
Restrictions open to GEOG (single or combined), GEOG (Honours)/BEd (Intermediate/Senior), POLS (single or combined) and SOCI (single or combined) majors until date specified in Registration guide. Students must have approval to year 4 (honours).
