Description	Humanism within the French Renaissance. Notions of imitation and subjectivity. Authors may include Rabelais, Du Bellay, Ronsard, Marguerite de Navarre, Montaigne.
Course Format	Lectures, 3 hours per week.
Prerequisite(s)	FREN 2F03; two FREN or SCLC credits numbered 3(alpha)00 or above, with at least one-half credit (taught in French) in literature.
