Brock University's Walker Complex recreation facilities are available to everyone—Brock students, alumni, faculty, staff, and the community.
Free Beginner Fitness Orientation
A free one-on-one hour-long orientation session is included with each Zone membership. This orientation session is provided by a Certified Personal Trainer. It includes a complete fitness program for a beginner and provides a better understanding of the components of a well-balanced workout and proper exercise technique. Orientation sessions may be booked in advance at the Zone desk.
Brock Undergraduate Students
Students who are currently registered may use the track, gymnasia, studios, pool and whirlpool, shower rooms, sauna, squash and outdoor tennis courts at no extra charge. Simply hand in your student identification card at the Central Equipment Room to receive a wristband each time you use the facility. To use the day lockers, bring your own lock, or rent one from the equipment room for $2, and remove it following your workout.
As of Sept. 1, 2013, all Brock University undergraduate students have access to the Zone fitness centre as part of your ancillary fees while you are registered in classes. Also included are a selection of fitness activities, including fitness classes, aquafitness classes, spin classes, running programs and more.
Brock students enrolled in graduate studies may use the Zone fitness centre free of charge in addition to all of the Walker Complex recreation facilities listed above. Just show your Brock ID card at the Cage.
