Snorkelling

The Brock pool will be closed April 1st - August, 2013 for maintenance. First Aid/CPR - Courses will be offered over the Spring & Summer. Fall Swim Registration: Saturday, August 16th, 9am-12nn. 

Learn to Snorkel:

Candidates learn introductory snorkelling skills. Participants must supply their own mask and snorkel.

Prerequisite: Swimmer 4

Content:

• Mask clearing
• Snorkel clearing: blast & displacement
• Kicks: front & back flutter kick, dolphin kick (with fins, provided)
• Entries: front roll, back roll, step-in
• Surface dives: head-first & foot-first
• Ear clearing
• Buddy system
• Gear maintenance
• Proper ascent
• Hand signals
