A Bachelor of Recreation and Leisure Studies (BRLS) offers you the opportunity to turn your passion into a rewarding career. Our courses enable students to build knowledge, skills and confidence in recreation administration, leadership and policy while contributing to the broader understanding of recreation and leisure through research, advocacy and innovation.

Mentored by industry professionals in a variety of settings across sectors, students make a meaningful impact on local, provincial and national issues through diverse placements, internships and community projects. Our passionate graduates can be found thriving in fulfilling careers in municipal recreation, non-profit organizations and outdoor education settings around the globe.

For those students interested in teaching at the Junior/Intermediate level (Grades 4 to 10), the six-year Concurrent BRLS/BEd program allows students to complete both an Honours degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies with a focus on Outdoor Education and a Bachelor of Education degree.
