The Brock Forgiveness Research Group consists of a team of psychologists and students who are conducting research on forgiveness and forgiveness seeking. In our research we are addressing a variety of questions, including the following:

  1. What does it mean to forgive?
  2. What are people's experiences of forgiveness?
  3. What are people's motivations for forgiving or for seeking forgiveness?
  4. How does forgiving (or not forgiving) affect well-being?
  5. What conditions facilitate or impede granting and seeking forgiveness?
  6. How are beliefs about justice related to granting or seeking forgiveness?
