Friesen Family - Summer of 2010
For the past few years now, my family and I have been availing ourselves of an excellent accommodation option when vacationing in Canada. The Brock University Quarry View Residence complex has become our second (or summer retreat) home. They have 3 or 4 bedroom townhouses on offer which are ideal for those who need extended temporary accommodation, but who wish to avoid the very pricey vacation home or extended-stay hotel options. For our family of four the 3 bedroom option has been ideal. The rooms of the houses come very clean and comfortably furnished; parking is guaranteed; grounds are well kept; AC is standard and access to internet and cable television is provided upon request. Maintenance has been spot on—indeed, safety and preventative maintenance routines are well established. What’s more, we’ve found the administrative office staff very obliging and accommodating when specific needs arise. Access to shopping is within a few kilometers, and highways 58 and 406 are right next door, so making connections to North St. Catharines, Niagara Falls or even Toronto is smooth and easy. With kids to entertain we’ve been very thankful for the conservation park and meadow just outside the complex—there, wilderness trails equipped with science learning stations have kept our kids well, happy and engaged. For those who love the Niagara Region for summer fun or who are between homes, Brock’s affordable housing alternative suits very nicely indeed.
Kimberly Fahner - Summer 2008
An excellent place to stay, for an affordable amount of money, in the midst of the beauty of Niagara and Brock’s lush campus.
