Through my co-op placement I met amazing people and developed key skills that allowed me to build a network of contacts.”

Working for a firm with an established history has provided the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, from new and developing proprietorships to large corporations. Not only have I been able to apply the knowledge I obtained in the classroom, but the guidance and mentorship of senior staff members has enabled me to grow in professionalism, technical expertise, and commitment to excellence.

“My year as a retail marketing assistant at Microsoft Canada was vital to my growth both as a marketing professional, as well as a well-rounded individual. The first-class mentorship I received, coupled by the huge opportunity to network within the industry, has laid a solid foundation for my future in business. Since my passion revolves around marketing and the consumer electronics industry, my co-op experience at Brock has helped me realize my true potential in both of these realms.”

“My position at the Toronto Transit Commission, as a Budgets and Reporting Administrative Assistant gave me first-hand experience in the realm of public administration. It allowed me to experience the political, legal and managerial dimensions of the TTC. I have been very fortunate to have such a wide variety of tasks and exposure during my eight month placement. The skills and experience my co-op placement has provided will continue to benefit me in future employment opportunities.”

"While working as a Project Analyst in Canadian Tire's Supply Chain division, I developed an interest in supply chain management and distribution operations. It was a great opportunity, not only to learn how such a large-scale operation is managed, but the interpersonal skills and sense of responsibility I gained will undoubtedly benefit my future career. Co-op has given me a new perspective on learning and has allowed me to transfer the concepts I've learned in class to real-life situations."
