Prostate Cancer Canada is promoting “Movember”. Formally known as November, Movember is a month-long challenge to grow a moustache to raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer research.
What many people don’t know is that 1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer to afflict Canadian men with 25,500 diagnosed and 4,400 dying from the disease each year.

This year, 10 of our faculty members are participating. So things are going to get hairy. Our student PEKN council is spearheading the fundraising campaign. So council members will be asking to make announcements and collect funds.
Our goal is to collect $2000 from our roughly 1000 undergraduate students.
If you wish to make a contribution, Phil Sullivan has a collection bin in his office (WC262) for all that spare change. Or you could sponsor the team through this website: http://ca.movember.com/donate/
Thanks for your support
