Brock hosts Health Fair

Brock University’s Student Health Services will host its annual Health Fair on Monday, Nov. 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Ian D. Beddis Gymnasium.

“The Fair is a fun learning event designed to provide participants with information to evaluate their own health and encourage a healthy lifestyle,” says Melodie Shick-Porter, Director, Student Health Services.

At Monday’s Fair, guests will be able to evaluate their own health, assess their stress management skills, learn about the benefits of physical activity and test their knowledge of nutrition.

Close to 100 interactive displays will be represented by medical staff from Student Health Services; faculty, staff, and students from the University; and professionals and representatives from area organizations.

Featured topics this year include financial health, pre-cancer screening, tobacco use, hand hygiene, heart health, substance abuse, relaxation techniques and more.
