President Lightstone appearing on TVO’s The Agenda

Brock University President Jack Lightstone will join several other senior academics in a panel discussion on The Agenda with Steve Paikin, airing on TVO on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 8 p. m.

The program on “the changing role of Canadian universities” will examine an emerging debate among academic leaders over the merits of a tiered university system, where some institutions concentrate on research and graduate studies while others focus on undergraduate studies.

Joining Lightstone on the panel will be Robert Birgeneau, Chancellor of University of California at Berkeley and former president of the University of Toronto; Queen’s University Principal Daniel Woolf; Carleton University President Roseann O’Reilly Runte; and University of Alberta President Indira Samarasekera.
