Greetings fellow alumni,
After serving on the Board of Directors for four years, I am honoured to be taking on the role of President of the Brock University Alumni Association. It gives me great pleasure to be representing such an incredible community of over 78 000 alumni.
The Alumni Association Board of Directors is a group of passionate and talented alumni who are committed to providing opportunities for alumni to engage with the University and with one another, to support activities that highlight our alumni’s achievements and to involve current students as future stakeholders of our Association.
During the 2012/2013 board year, the Association worked diligently to define new strategic directions and goals which led to the development of a new Strategic Direction. Three strategic pillars identify the direction of the association for the next three years; acting as a representative voice for our alumni, alumni engagement and student engagement.
Equipped with a new Strategic Direction, the Association is anxious to tackle challenges and initiate new projects during the upcoming board year. As the largest constituent of the University, Brock alumni clearly have a stake in ensuring that the value of a Brock degree continues to remain strong. Moreover, the Association is looking forward to a year marked in celebration of our alumni’s achievements and planning for Brock’s 50th anniversary.
We hope you will connect with us during the upcoming year whether it is by attending one of our many alumni events, reunions or networking opportunities, by volunteering through our Mentorship Plus program, or by engaging in conversation with us through our social media outlets (Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn). By getting involved, the Association will be able to better represent your interests as a Brock graduate.
Thank you for your continued support,
Darren Fox, BBA 00
President, Brock University Alumni Association
