LD Enhanced Services
After pilot projects, the provincial government determined a need to support students with learning disabilities at the post-secondary level - 2 positions were formed:
Learning Strategist
Provides individualized study strategies which may include:
- assessment of current study patterns
- organizational skills
- reading, writing, math
- time management
- studying for exams
- note taking
The study strategies are customized based on the student's psycho-ed assessment, their program of study, and the student's individual need.
Assistive Technologist
Provides a variety of technology-related services such as:
- an assessment of technology needs
- demonstration of new technologies
- software training
- bursary assistance
- technology support
- specific accommodation planning
