AERO is a web-based digital repository operated by the Ministry of Education in partnership with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.
The mandate of AERO is to provide alternate format text to students with perceptual disabilities who attend publicly funded educational institutions in Ontario. AERO enables students with perceptual disabilities to access educational materials in a format they require and in a timely manner.
In July of 2013, Brock University became a member of the AERO service to help students with perceptual disabilities access accessible format textbooks.

Please note that alternate formats are not guaranteed, and some students may be required to have their textbooks unbound and scanned using high-speed equipment.

ACE Portal is a collection or repository of books that have been digitized and made available online in accessible formats for universities participating in the service. Users who have registered with SSWD, and are eligible for the service, can request access to the ACE Portal to download the full text of only the books in Brock's library collection.
