Philip Wright, Associate Vice-President, Information Technology and Chief Information Officer (CIO)
Philip Wright joined Brock in 2008, with responsibility for planning, developing and maintaining a reliable IT infrastructure and customer service environment in support of the University’s academic and administrative missions. Prior to coming to Brock, Philip was Director of Information and Instructional Technology Services at the Scarborough campus of the University of Toronto, where he led the transformation of IT services in a time of unprecedented growth and expansion.
Philip brings over 20 years of experience in industry and higher education to his role at Brock. He has held several managerial positions in IT at companies in the U.S., Quebec, and Ontario. Prior to entering the high-tech field, Philip was a professor of philosophy at several of the country’s well-established universities, including the University of Toronto, the University of Alberta, and Trent University. He holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Toronto.
