Getting an E-mail Account
All Brock University faculty and staff are entitled to an e-mail account. To get your e-mail account, ask your department's administrative assistant for a Computer Account Application form, which must be filled out completely and signed by the Dean, Chair or Director of your department. The completed application should be sent to Information Technology Services (ITS) HelpDesk, Mackenzie Chown Building F314.
I have an e-mail account, now what?
The username and password you are given is called your Campus ID. This is used to access ITS services at Brock including e-mail.
To use your new account you must first activate your account using the Brock University Portal located at https://my.brocku.ca.
The portal is a web space designed to consolidate information and web services into one place. To log in use your username and password (Campus ID) given on your Computer Account Application. If this is your first time logging in, you will be asked to change your password to something only you know. Details on how to set a secure password are provided when you are changing it. Once you have activated your account and have a secret password, you can begin using your Brock e-mail account.
What is a good password?
To keep your accounts at Brock secure, it is important to choose a good password which can be easily recalled from your memory when necessary. Please review our Passwords Recommendations page.
It is imperative you keep all of your passwords private. Never share a password! Memorize your password instead of writing it down as the potential exists for others to find it and hack into your account. You will be held accountable for the way your account is used. It is in your best interest to make sure that it is secure.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
Bring Brock identification to the ITS Help Desk at MC F314 and ask a staff member to reset your password for you.
We cannot reset passwords without verifying your identity.
