About the Office of Research Services

The University's commitment to excellence in research and innovation drives the strategic priorities of the Office of Research Services (ORS). Our staff members recognize that supporting and communicating the intellectual, creative and entrepreneurial directions of our faculty researchers and students provide the prime focus for our programs and activities.

ORS has been established to assist faculty and staff researchers in enhancing their research activities with the funding agencies, government, business and industry.

Our support team includes specialists in contract management, technology and knowledge transfer, ethics, animal care, hazardous materials, communications and financial accountability, together offering a high level of service to faculty and staff.

Office of Research Services

ORS is here to promote and facilitate the process of growing a vibrant research environment at Brock. The cornerstone of the new structure is the team of RESEARCH OFFICERS who co-ordinate the support services for the preparation and submission of grants and contracts. As the first point of contact for faculty and staff with ORS, the Research Officer's role is to monitor the life of an opportunity from the proposal preparation stage through vetting procedures and approvals until the end of contract compliance.
