Join us for the inaugural Brock Library HackFest.
Haven't been to a HackFest before? Well this event is the perfect introduction. Join a group of interested technology enthusiaists as they build, deconstruct, mashup, and re-envision information from the web. Set in an informal environment, attendees will be free to mix, mingle, discuss ideas, and to begin working on prototypes or code.
The theme for the event will be 'Hack Niagara'
Registered Attendees will be provided with a list of topics about a week before the event to help get the ideas going.
The only requirement is your curiosity and a laptop.
The Brock Library will provide the coffee, breakfast, WiFi, and whiteboard space. There will also be a collection of electronics to use in your collaborations (Arduino, Raspberry Pi etc) You bring the enthusiasm.
The event will be open to anyone interested in attending. Just sign up!
At the end of the day there will be an opportunity to briefly present what you've hacked. The most interesting presentation wins a prize and trophy.
Tickets are free. Please RSVP if interested.
A preliminary list of projects is posted here
