Hello my name is Jordan Geerdink. I’ve been working in the Private Security sector since 2004. I started working in the Security field for the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority in 2004-2007 as a Provincial Offences Officer; during that time, I worked for NPCA. I attended Niagara Collage and graduated from both the Law and Security Administration and the Customs and Immigration programs, obtaining 2 diplomas.
In 2007 I moved on to work for G4S in the Niagara Health System at the Welland General Hospital. After a quick 4 months with G4S I was hired by the Corps of Commissionaires in 2008 at Brock University as a member of Campus Security Services. As a member of the Campus Security Services team at Brock, I work under the supervision of Special Constables who have Police Powers of Arrest on campus.
From 2008 to early 2012 I worked as a contract Security Guard on campus. In May 2012 I was hired by Brock University as a Communications Operator/Dispatcher in Campus Security’s Central Communications Monitoring Centre. There, I dispatch CSS’s Officers where needed, monitor the CCTV systems on campus, Social Media feeds such as, Twitter and Facebook, and door access points such as swipe access and proxy card secured areas.
If you happen to call Campus Security at Brock University you could be talking to me, so I look forward to talking to you and hope I can assist you in anyway I can.
Talk to you soon.
