As we begin a new school year, I would like to draw your attention to a few positive numbers related to our varied fields in the Department of Communication, Popular Culture and Film. These facts and figures only scratch the surface, but they provide some indication of the value of a degree in Communication, in Media, in Film, or in Popular Culture. Critical, theoretical knowledge of these areas are strong assets to society and to culture. Furthermore, these degrees are increasingly relevant to the job market, a topic that seems to drive so much of the current discussion related to higher education.
