What is the Student of the Year Award?
Brock University’s Student of the Year Award is the recognition of excellence in job performance, academic performance and responsibility, based on a student’s particular contributions to their co-op employers, Co-operative Education and the community-at-large.
What are the benefits of winning?
This award will be presented to two Brock University co-op students. Benefits of being recognized as the 2013 Brock Co-op Student of the Year includes promotion through local publication, being recognized during Co-operative Education Week, and being presented with a certificate. If your co-op student is chosen, your organization will also receive recognition through various media outlets.

Once chosen, the Brock Co-op Student of the Year might then be considered for:
• The Education at Work Ontario (EWO) Student of the Year Award, or
• The Canadian Association for Co-operative Education (CAFCE) Student of the Year Award.
CAFCE Co-op Student of the Year Award
The winning students, their institutions, and employers will receive national recognition as a result of this award. In addition, the winners will both receive a $1,000.00 cash award (the CAFCE award of $500.00 and the Emery-Dufault award of $500.00).

Brock nominees are selected and submitted to CAFCE by the Brock University Co-op Programs Office.
EWO Co-op Student of the Year Award
The recipient of the EWO award will be presented with a certificate and $500.
