Registrar's Office begins to mail out offers of admission to incoming applicants (non-Brock students) with residence application information.
*NOTE: Indicating interest in Residence on your OUAC application does not mean you have applied for residence. There is a separate application process for residence. You should complete and submit our on-line application which you will be able to access via the residences home page . It should go live in mid-February.
This is the first date that we will accept payment of the $600 residence deposit.
If you have money in an RESP, make enquiries about how long it will take to get the money out. Some banks, trust companies, etc require quite a lot of notice of withdrawal.

Department of Residences e-mails residence building and room offers to successful applicants. Those not offered a spot at this time will have their name put on a waiting list and will be informed of their position on that list. They will also receive details of off-campus housing options.
Charges for residence and meal plans (if mandatory) will be posted on each student's Fee Calculator with an indication of how much needs to be paid as a first installment (payment 2 of 3) and the deadline for payment (likely mid-late August).

Move In Day is Sunday, September 1
Residence "roll call" for any available beds. Students on the Waiting List will get full details nearer the time but in brief, we will call students in rank order starting at 3pm and offer any beds that we have available as a result of students withdrawing at the last minute.
Wednesday, September 4 is the first day of classes.
Deposit charges will be reversed leaving the $600 paid as a credit towards outstanding residence fees. Residence and meal plan charges will be added to the student's Financial History.
Final date for payment is due to be received into the student's account (payment 3 of 3) of outstanding residence fees. If monies are still owing on November 15, service charges will be put onto the student's account.
December 2013 - January 2014
The residences are closed for the Winter Break. Please see End of Term Notice  and Winter Break  policy for details. Students are required to leave residence no later than noon the day following their last December exam, or by noon on December 18, 2013, whichever occurs first. Students may return any time after 12 noon, on Sunday, January 5, 2014 (the Sunday before January classes begin).
Students must vacate their room no later than noon the day following their last April examination, or by noon on April 24, 2014, whichever occurs first.
