Craig Hyatt discusses the 2004-05 NHL lockout in relation to sport fans behaviour

Craig Hyatt is an associate professor in sport management, his research explores sport fans behavior and sport fans whose experiences fall outside the standard frameworks used to classify fans.

In the wake of the current NHL lockout, his latest research continues to stir up a lot of attention.  Looking at former NHL hockey fans,  his research points to the 2004-05 lockout as a major reason for most fans tuning out the sport of hockey and into other sports or activities.
