As part of continuous improvement efforts to ensure the availability, reliability and performance of Brock’s technology infrastructure, ITS will be replacing key data networking equipment on Saturday, Aug. 25. Brock’s new firewall hardware will further enhance network reliability and security as well as significantly increase performance.
In order to minimize the impact of disruptions, the ITS Team is meeting regularly with key stakeholders. While only certain segments of the network will be affected at any given time, services such as VPN or access to the portal may become unreachable during these planned outages.
Information updates can be found on our project website: brocku.ca/node/19515 as well as the my.brocku.ca portal. Our Helpdesk (x4357) will be operational from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday if you require any assistance.
Schedule for Saturday, Aug. 25:
7 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
All on-campus services will be affected. The registration system, the Brock Portal and brocku.ca will be accessible from off-campus.
10:30am – 6 p.m.
Intermittent disruptions of on-campus services.
