One of the most common questions we hear from students is "What can I do with my degree?" To assist students with making informed career decisions, we developed, in consultation with representatives from each faculty, Degree Exploration Guides. These guides provide information about career options and degree specific skills that students achieve in their academic studies. In addition, they connect students with important resources and services that may assist them throughout their career planning process.
Please note that this is just one of many resources available for exploring career opportunities. It is not intended to be comprehensive or to limit choices. Students and alumni using this tool are also encouraged to investigate as many resources as possible in making career decisions.
We can help your students by engaging them in a four-step Career Planning Process that can help them understand their skills, interests and values, and how these play a part in identifying potential career options. The process includes a variety of resources and tools that are available on-line or at our Resource Centre, located on the first floor of the Learning Commons. This process can be self-guided, or students can receive one-on-one assistance in our Resource Centre.
