You can help your family member by being supportive of their need for study time and, In particular, if they are living at home, helping to ensure they have suitable space for study.

If Your Student is Accused of Academic Dishonesty

Encourage your student to refer to the University's Academic Regulations and the Academic Integrity Policy.  Advise them to:

• Stay calm and be polite.  Be courteous and respectful and people will want to be helpful to them.
• Address the situation as soon as possible; waiting too long may make it more difficult for them to resolive the issue in a timely manner and get the help they need.
• Ask questions.
• Seek assistance by contacting the Student Ombudsperson.
