LingNet, a club for Applied Linguistics students, has been nominated for the Community Engagement Award at BUSU's Club Awards Night. The Community Engagement Award is awarded to the club that has demonstrated the most active connection to the community. The award will be presented to a club that has:
Actively engaged with a wider range of individuals across the community; Provided quality experiences for the Brock and/or St. Catherines community; Improved the Brock and/or St. Catherines community; and, Been a positive ambassador of BUSU.
In addition to this nomination, Lindsay Watson of LingNet, has been nominated for the Executive of the Year Award. The Executive of the Year Award is awarded to an executive that has excelled in their position or acted in some other extraordinary capacity. The award will be presented to the executive that has:
Gone above and beyond their duties and helped the club achieve its mandate; Has provided excellent leadership with their club; Have provided critical contributions to the club's success; and, Has been a positive ambassador for BUSU.
The Clubs Award night will be on March 23rd at 7 pm. Tickets are available for $20 each or $35 for two. The evening will include a catered dinner, the awards, and a dance. Everyone is welcome. Tickets are available at the BUSU reception desk.
