Alternative Reading Week Niagara gives students the opportunity to get involved in a hands-on service learning projects during the Reading Break in October across the Niagara Region.
Students will choose their top two choices for volunteer projects for each day that they are interested in volunteering (between Wednesday, February 19th and Saturday, February 22nd. Note: the Saturday project is now full and closed to additional registration) and will be placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. During the week (Wednesday-Friday), registration will begin at 8:50am to allow each group to travel and arrive at their project site on time (all projects have slightly different start times). Volunteers will be back on campus by 4:30pm and transportation and lunch will be provided. We also ask that all volunteers wear a Brock t-shirt or sweatshirt if possible (preferably a red shirt with the Brock logo on the front).
You may sign up for one, two, three, or all four days of service! Descriptions for each of the organization and volunteer projects can be found at: https://www.brocku.ca/student-community-outreach/brock-cares-alternative...
